The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, incidentals and services for the construction and installation of the following work and as specified on the project plans and specifications. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. In case of ambiguity in stating the price in the bid, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject any bids. Also, the City reserves the right to acceptthelow bid based on thetabulation of any one, combination or all of the base bid(s),alternate bid(s)and/or,optional bid(s)based on the most advantageousproject bid that isdesired by the City Department involved and that the City Council in their sole judgment determinesisthe City's best interest and benefit. Bid Security:Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of El Paso as obligee and duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price (including base bid(s), option(s) and alternate(s).
