Site work, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle's Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. Base Bid #1: Playfield, Fitness Area and Park Improvements: Generally, the project reconfigures and converts an existing grass playfield to resilient infilled synthetic turf on a permeable aggregate base, including heavy earthwork and storm drainage utilities. In addition, new playfield lighting infrastructure and Park perimeter improvements will be installed, including: service drives, pathways and stairs, and chain link fencing and backstops. Perimeter restoration and landscaping improvements will include a new bioretention facility, lawns and planted slopes, landscape walls, park furniture and a fully automatic irrigation system. Base Bid #2: Restoration of the Existing Comfort Station. The existing comfort station at Brighton Park is an unreinforced masonry building built in the early 20th century. Building renovation shall include a seismic retrofit and shall include 3 new all-gender ADA compliant bathrooms to meet Park standards for all season use, provisions for 2 future all-gender ADA bathrooms, all bathrooms shall share Park standard plumbing chase. Storage area to remain north of breezeway. Exterior and interior fixture and finish upgrades to include: selective concrete and masonry demolition; new concrete slab, new concrete masonry walls, some clay masonry patching, metal roof removal and replacement; new plumbing distribution (sewer and water supply); new toilet and lavatory fixtures; new interior and exterior lighting; new exhaust fans in each bathroom; new hollow metal doors and louvers, seal existing and patched masonry and concrete floors. Additive #1: Athletic Field Light Poles, Fixtures & Wiring Additive #2: SPU Sewer Line Rehabilitation Base Bid #1: $4,274,124; Base Bid #2: $389.946; Additive #1: $419,802.00; Additive #2: $215,000.00
