The City of Kenner Will Receive Sealed Bids for Kenner Hanson City Sewer Lift Station Improvements for Ls 4103 (Firehouse Road) Sewer Force Main Replacement. The Proposed Work Includes: Improvements to Previously Rehabilitated Lift Station 4103 Firehouse Road (Task I) by Replacing Existing Sanitary Sewer Force Main With Approximately 3,500' of 14" Hdpe Pipe Through Horizontal Directional Drilling, With Funding Provided by a Ldeq Cwsrf Loan and the Hurricane Gustav & Ike Cdbg Parish-implemental & Hurricanes Katrina/rita Long Term Community Disaster Recovery Programs. Attention of Bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract (Davis-Bacon Act), Section 3 (Low Income Resident Participation) of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, Section 109 (NonDiscrimination) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Section 503 (NonDiscrimination Against Employees with Disabilities) and Section 504 (Non-Discrimination Against Individuals with Disabilities) of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Segregated Facilities, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements. On other sets of documents furnished to prime bidders and on all sets furnished to subcontractors the full deposit will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten days after receipt of bids. If submitting bid electronically, a bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security. A cashier's or certified check will Not be accepted. The Work is to commence within 10 days after the Notice to Proceed. Completion of the Work is required within 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 45 days after the date fixed for opening bids. Minority owned firms, small businesses, and/or Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. For just cause, the City of Kenner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive informalities.
