Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ankeny, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The South Ankeny Boulevard and Magazine Road Safety Improvements project includes increasing storage capacity of the southbound, northbound, and eastbound left-turn lanes and realigning the left-turn lanes for increased sight distance. Modifications to traffic signals and pedestrian facilities, such as new pedestrian ramps and pushbutton poles, are also included. The improvements include construction of approximately 1,380 SY 9-inch PCC pavement, 125 SY 9-inch colored PCC pavement, and 210 SY PCC sidewalk. Other associated improvements include traffic signal pole relocation and construction, excavation, subgrade preparation, modified subbase, pavement removal, temporary traffic control, pavement markings, erosion control, and other miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. If a bidder will be submitting a bid by hand delivery prior to 10:00 A.M. on January 26, 2021, that bidder needs to contact the City of Ankeny Public Works Department at 515-963-3520 to make arrangements for delivery and receipt of the bid. Bids received after the deadline for submission of bids as stated herein shall not be considered and shall be returned to the late bidder unopened. Estimated Value: $475,351.55 The Contractor shall substantially complete the overall project within forty-five (45) working days.
