The project will be awarded based on the lowest base bid. The work is described generally as installation of sewer and storm drain in Snyder Lane and Keiser Avenue, including trench paving, from the north side of Hinebaugh Creek in Snyder Lane to approximately 450 feet east of Snyder Lane in Keiser Avenue. 1. Demolition, site clearing/grubbing, rough grading, 2. Structure demolition, 3. Installation of sanitary sewer main in Snyder Lane (starting north of Hinebaugh Creek) and for 450 feet in Keiser Avenue, including trench paving, 4. Installation of storm drain main in Snyder Lane (starting at Circulo Grande) and for 450 feet in Keiser Avenue, including trench paving, 5. New and existing connections of mains and structures, 6. Miscellaneous paving including creek path concrete, trench paving, and miscellaneous signage and striping. Per California Civil Code Section 3247, a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding $25,000. The bond must be provided within fifteen (15) calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. For any moneys earned by the Contractor and withheld by the City of Rohnert Park to ensure the performance of the contract, the Contractor may, at their request and sole expense, substitute certain securities equivalent to the amount withheld in the form and manner and subject to the terms and conditions provided in the California Public Contracts Code Section 22300. This notice incorporates by reference the terms, conditions and requirements of the specifications approved by the City, any and all changes or amendments to the specifications and special instructions or special notice issued to or given to prospective bidders. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and hour and referred to and considered by the City Council at a future City Council meeting. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms furnished by the City, and each bid must include all the items shown on these forms. Substitute forms may be used if specified in this Notice. A prebid conference will not be held. Site visits in the public right-of-way can be scheduled if the City is notified at least 24 hours in advance. No bid will be received for consideration unless the bidder has obtained and paid for a copy of the drawings, specifications, and bid packet from Draftech Blueprinting, Inc. and has listed the bidder's full name and mailing address on the planholder's list with Draftech Blueprinting Inc. as a potential bidder on this project.
