Each bid shall be either hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, or such bid shall be sent by United States Postal Service registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested, or shall be submitted electronically with Central Auction House (CAH). Bids shall not be accepted or taken, including receiving any hand delivered bids, on days which are recognized as holidays by the United States Postal Service. No bid received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Failure of the U.S. Mail to deliver the bids timely shall not be considered due cause for the scheduled time of the bid opening to be extended. Project Name: Cast Iron Gas Line Improvements, St. Louis and Mckinley Street Area, Phase 20 Project No: 18-GAS-45. Project Description: The work consists of providing all equipment, labor and material necessary to replace and upgrade the existing gas line and services. The designated replacement area lies within the areas between North Hollywood Road to St. Louis Street and St. Louis Street to Mckinley Street extending from Park Avenue to Ninth Street, Logan Drive and Charles Street. The base bid will be for work to construct approximately 11,000 linear feet of 4" and 16,650 linear feet of 2" gas lines to replace and upgrade the existing gas line and services, all according to design specifications and plans. Further, this project includes an Alternate No. 1. Alternate No. 1 if accepted by the Owner shall consist of providing all equipment, labor and material necessary to replace and upgrade the existing gas lines and services along Estate Drive, Carlos St. and St. Paul Street. Alternate No. 1 will be for work to construct approximately 8,350 linear feet of 2" gas lines along with other incidental work items as specified, all according to design specifications and plans. Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Bidding Documents. A single set of Bidding Documents shall be issued at the cost of reproduction to contractors who are licensed by the Licensing Board of Contractors. This Project shall require a Louisiana Contractors license number for a MUNICIPAL AND PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION. The cost of mailing, if required, shall be billed separately for an additional non-refundable $10.00 charge. Good condition is defined as free of all pencil, pen, highlighter, and other marks, free of significant tears, and free of missing sheets of pages. Please contact David A.
