Site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in White Plains, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a parking garage; and for paving for a 90-space parking garage.
This purpose of this project is to renovate, rehabilitate and expand the existing garage and site improvements around the property at the New York Power Authority's Centroplex Building located at 123 Main St., White Plains New York. The goal of the project is to increase parking by a minimum of 90 parking spaces and to extend the service life of the garage for an additional fifty years, life extension and modernization ("LEM"). The project entails constructing an additional bay to the north and east sides of garage with cast-in-place concrete type construction. The landscaped areas on the Hamilton Avenue and Renaissance Square sides of the garage will be removed/demolished in order to accommodate the expansion. The entire upper level of the garage will be covered with a new steel roof structure. The existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ("MEP"), security, fire alarm, detection and sprinkler protection systems will be refurbished, expanded and or replaced as indicated. New drainage and infiltration systems will be also be installed along with a new glass and steel canopy to be installed along the Hamilton Avenue side of the building, north facade. The existing bus shelters will be replaced with new along Martin Luther King ("MLK") Boulevard. The entire perimeter of the site (including Main Street side) will also receive landscaping improvements and the sidewalks will be replaced. The work covered under these specifications consists of furnishing all required supervision, labor, materials and equipment (except for services, materials, and/or equipment to be furnished by others as specifically referred to in the Contract Documents) for the expansion and renovation of the WPO Centroplex Garage LEM project as indicated on the drawings, specifications. * Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 3%
