Sealed bids addressed to the City of Anahuac, Texas will be received for furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for City of Anahuac, City Hall Renovations Project generally described as the renovation of the existing City Hall. The renovation shall include new exterior and interior doors with all hardware necessary, installation of new walls for more private office space, sheetrock, painted walls, stained concrete flooring, plumbing fixtures, base boards, trim, HVAC upgrades, electrical upgrades, and other miscellaneous restoration items. The right is reserved by the City of Anahuac, Texas as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Bidding Documents are on file at electronically. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the portal. Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Anahuac; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted in duplicate. Bids may be held by the City of Anahuac for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
