The City Council of the City of Owatonna, Minnesota, will receive bids for the making of the following described improvements: for Cured In-Place Pipe Systems (CIPPS) in accordance with the Plans and Specifications herefor prepared by the City Engineer. The approximate quantities of the major items are listed below: ITEM UNIT APPROX. QUANTITY Mobilization LUMP SUM 1 Pre-Cleaning & Televise Sewer Pipe LIN FT 10,547.0 Lining Sewer Pipe 8" LIN FT 9,050.0 Lining Sewer Pipe 12" LIN FT 1,497.0 All bids shall be accompanied by a bidders bond or a certified check payable to the order of the City of Owatonna for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, or a deposit of cash in the like amount, as security that the bidder will enter into the Contract to perform such work and give bond guaranteeing performance thereof, as provided in Specifications therefor. All bids shall be directed to the City Administrator, securely sealed and endorsed on the outside of the wrapper stating Bids for 2019 CIPPS. All bids must be accompanied by an affidavit certifying that, (1) the bid has been arrived at by the bidder independently, and has been submitted without collusion with, and without agreement, understanding or planned common course of action with any other vendor of materials, suppliers, equipment or service described in the invitation to bid, designed to limit the independent bidding or competition, (2) the contents of the bid has not been communicated by the bidder or its employees or agents to any person not an employee or agent of the bidder or its surety on any bond furnished with the bid, and will not be communicated to any such person prior to the official opening of the bid. The affidavit shall be signed by the bidder if he is an individual, by a partner if the bidder is a partnership, or by an officer or employee of the corporation having power to sign in its behalf, if the bidder is a corporation. The affidavit shall state that the person signing it has fully informed himself regarding the accuracy of the statements made in it. Any bid not accompanied by this affidavit will be rejected.
