All construction and materials must meet currently PA Department of Transportation Specifications. All proposals must be upon forms furnished by the Township. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid amount, made payable to Wallace Township. Bids must be received in a sealed envelope marked Bid Proposal for WAL 19-01. The successful bidder must furnish the required documents as listed in the specification within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The project must be completed on or before August 23, 2019. The project involves the following: Full Depth Reclamation of Highspire Road located between Marshall Road and Springton Road. Addition of cement to base material. Application of Superpave 9.5mm PG 64-22 HMA as scratch or leveling course, tack coat and Superpave 9.5mm PG 64-22 HMA as wearing course. The project is broken up into Alternate 1 and Alternate 2 due to crossing Township Boundaries . The total scope of work (Alternate 1 and 2) includes: Item 1 Full Depth Reclamation, 17040 Sq Yds of Highspire Road Item 2 Furnish and apply 352 Tons of Portland cement and hydrate Item 3 Furnish and install 982 Tons, 9.5 mm Superpave 64-22 #60, scratch/leveling course. Item 4 Furnish and apply 17040 Sq Yds of Tack Coat between HMA layers. Item 5 - Furnish and install 2145 Tons 9.5mm Superpave 64-22 #125 wearing course. All work shall be completed in accordance with PennDOT Pub. 447. and Pub. 408 All quantities are approximate. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or a portion of any or all proposals.
