Renovation of a water / sewer project in Burlington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these specifications to replace the existing grit classifier at the Central Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant, including mobilization, demolition, cleaning, furnishing and installing new equipment, modifying existing piping, building restoration, miscellaneous parts and work, start up, testing and return to service. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Burlington, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Township of Burlington for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Payment, Performance and Maintenance Bonds upon the award of Contract. A "Surety Disclosure Statement and Certification" form must also accompany the bid pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:44-143. Bids must be accompanied by a Statement of Corporate Ownership in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2. In the case of corporations not chartered in the State of New Jersey, a proper certificate shall be provided stating that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The signed proposal form and bid security must be delivered to the Office of the Township Engineer located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Center on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Within ten (10) days following the opening of bids, bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned within three (3) days after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Payment and Performance Bonds, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays excepted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., Affirmative Action Regulations. The Township Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Township Council, makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
