As of 02/26/2020 No start date. As of 01/31/2020 This project will be awarded on February 11, 2020. Installation of a new lift station building to replace the existing underground lift station enclosure. The work shall include the installation of a new prefabricated building, piping, and submersible pumps, all mechanical and electrical work, pump control panel, modifications to the existing wet well, connection to the City's existing SCADA system, connection to the existing emergency generator, installation of new force main pipes and connection to the existing force main, abandonment of the existing station, site paving, and other associated site restoration. All Contractors shall submit a "Bidder's Qualification Statement" to the City of New Berlin. The City requires pre-qualification of Contractors prior to obtaining bidding documents or submitting bids or acting as a Contractor on any public improvement project. Prequalification forms and information may be obtained from the City of New Berlin at 3805 S. Casper Dr., New Berlin, Wisconsin 53151, or at electronically. The letting of work is subject to the provisions of Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check payable to the City of New Berlin equal to 5% of the largest possible total bid. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within 10 day after the award shall cause the bid bond or check to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages in accordance with Section 62.15(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes. A recommendation will be made to the City Council at its meeting on February 11, 2020. Award will be made to the lowest and most responsible bidder. The City of New Berlin reserves the right to accept any bid most advantageous to the City, waive any technicality, or reject any or all bids. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the City.
