Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in Wharton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for paving for a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids are invited and will be received as set forth herein. Owner: Borough of Wharton, Morris County, New Jersey The work consists of the installation of approximately 2750 linear feet of 8" water main, 1700 LF of 6" water main, installation of new water service connections, milling and paving, with limited full depth base course pavement repair limits to be determined after milling operations, and related work along Orange Street, Cutler Street, Summit Avenue, Ford Avenue, Kitchell Avenue, and Downs Avenue from S Main St (County Route 634). Contractor shall obtain Morris County Road Opening Permit. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the Issuing Office must notify the Issuing Office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda and other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders list will not be accepted. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty-thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and grantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor at the time bids will be received by the owner pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 2003, c.91, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.51). Bidders are required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents including the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127(NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action) and P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage) and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et. Seq.). The Borough of Wharton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough of Wharton and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents.
