The project consists of clearing, grubbing, grading, drainage, sidewalk and multi-use path installation, box-out widening, curbing, mill and fill, and signing and striping along Route 9 between Stonebreak Road and Dunning Street. The project includes installation of granite curbing, raised medians, dry wells, pedestrian lighting, signing and striping, and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs).All bidders must comply with the general municipal law, Section 103. Bid deposit 5% of Base Bid. he Town of Malta will mail USB flash drives containing Plans and Specifications if requested. Contract documents may be examined at no expense at the office of Creighton Manning Engineering, 2 Winners Circle, Albany, NY 12205 or at Town of Malta, Town Comptroller's Office, 2540 Route 9, Malta, New York 12020. Subcontracting is permitted as described in Section 108-05 of the Standard Specifications of the Dept. of Transportation. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The Town of Malta reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids or to accept the lowest qualified responsible and conforming bid that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the Town. The Town may, in its sole discretion, request for bidders to hold bids for an additional thirty (30) days. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Town of Malta before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the Town shall not be construed as authority to bind the Town.
