Site work and paving for a road / highway in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work of this 42 calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to install slurry seal on 7th Street from the intersection of 7th Street and Maritime Street to Ben E. Nutter Terminal Entrance at 7th Street, Oakland, CA; including, but not limited to: cleaning, sweeping, sealing cracks and performing all other required activities to prepare pavement surface for slurry seal treatment; installing slurry seal, cat tracking striping, and installation the final striping according to contract plans using (2) coats of Caltrnas approved traffic paint; and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.. A California Class A or Class C-32 contractor's license is required to bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded any contract for the project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. This contract is subject to prevailing wage provisions, as specified in Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, and Document 00200, Instructions to Bidders, of the Project Manual. For further information pertaining to the pre-Bid conference and Site tours, and for information pertaining to other requirements of this project, including the Port's Non-Discrimina-tion and Small/Local Business Utilization Policy, insurance requirements, and bonds Pursuant to Port of Oakland Ordinance No. 4321, the Port of Oakland Standard Contract Provisions (February 2015 edition) are incorporated by reference into Project Manuals issued by the Port for public works construction projects. All other questions pertaining to the Plans and Project Manual should be addressed to the pertinent contact person(s) listed in Document 00100, Invitation to Bid, of the Project Manual. The Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the Work.
