The work of the project will include selective site demolition and re-work of existing parking lots and drives, grading and utilities, installation of a new synthetic turf football field, new bleachers, a new concessions and restroom building, new tennis courts, lighting, fencing, landscape and irrigation and other related elements on the grounds of the existing school. The Owner has already contracted for the synthetic turf system, bleachers, scoreboard and sports lighting elements and these components will be installed during the course of the work of this project. The Owner has retained the services of a Construction Manager to represent the Owner interest during the construction of the work. Project will be bid as a Competitive Sealed Bid. Bonds and Insurance All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid securities of the three lowest bidders will be retained until Contract award and execution. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. Bids are to be submitted on the forms that the proposal provided, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, contractor's license number and bidder license number (if applicable), the name of project and the solicitation number. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of South Carolina. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and award the contract in the best interest of the owner.
