Renovation of a transportation facility in Harlingen, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of May 9, 2019 the project is not yet awarded. It is expected to be awarded on May 17, 2019. In general, the Project Base Bid requires procurement, fabrication, installation of two (2) three-tunnel type apron drive passenger boarding bridges as well as a fixed bridge section of tunnel to be used as a walkway to the apron drive bridge. Each passenger boarding bridge is to be provided with a point of use direct expansion preconditioned air system and combination a 400Hz and 28 vDC solid state ground power unit. The work shall also include removal/disposal of existing passenger loading bridge; and relocation of an existing passenger boarding bridge. There will be additive alternate bids for up to two (2) additional bridges. The proposed construction schedule for installation of a new passenger boarding bridge at Gate 1 will be a factor in the evaluation of bids. The need for an additional operational passenger boarding bridge is immediate. The construction schedule for installation of the remaining passenger boarding bridges will not be a factor in the evaluation of bids.
