Site work for a water / sewer project in Moorefield, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of May 21, 2019 the project is not yet awarded. It is expected to be awarded on evening of May 21, 2019. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., Engineers, 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA 16602, Contact Person: Christopher M. Eckenrode, P.E., Email: ceckenrode@gdfengineers.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described Bidding Documents also may be examined at plan holding sites and websites indicted in Section 00200 Instructions to Bidders; the office of The Town of Moorefield, 206 Winchester Avenue, Moorefield, WV 26836, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM; and the office of the Engineer, Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., Engineers, 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA 16602, Contact Person: Christopher M. Eckenrode, P.E., Email: ceckenrode@gdfengineers.com. on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bidding documents must be obtained directly from the issuing office by the bidder for a bid to be considered. This project is being financed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials.
