Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from due date. The project consists of the following: installation of approximately 195 feet of pipe lining (either Cured In Place Pipe Liner or Glass Reinforced Plastic Cured-in-Place Pipe Liner) in a 36 corrugated metal pipe (CMP), installation of a new 6 diameter manhole, removal & replacement of approximately 20 feet of 12 inch corrugated metal pipe with new reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), installation of new Type B Inlet, connections to existing pipes, removal of existing end section and pipe, installation of 8 feet of 36 reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and precast concrete end section on the upstream end of the new manhole. Trench backfill will be used to backfill around the new structures and pipes. All proposals shall be Lump Sum and include a proposal guaranty in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier s check made payable to the Village of Peoria Heights in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Village of Peoria Heights in the amount equal to his/her total bid price. Commencement of the work shall be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Peoria Heights. The Village of Peoria Heights reserves the right to waive any irregularities or technicalities in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids if in the opinion of the Village, such action will serve the best interest of the Village. Bids on all work for this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. All Contractors shall be required to submit a copy of their substance abuse policy.
