CA Contractor's License And/or Class Required C-57 The work to be performed under this contract includes drilling two soil borings, furnishing materials for, and constructing two 4-inch diameter groundwater monitoring wells, identified as monitoring wells MW-44A and MW-45A. Each ofthe wells is to be constructed as a singlecompletion in a single hole. The work also includes checking the site for subsurface utilities, preparing and signing permit documents, drilling using air rotary casing hammer (ARCH), well development, and disposal of drill cuttings and purge water. The County will retain an on-site geologist to review field observations. No drilling through garbage is expected Each bid must be submitted on the proposal bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond/guaranty issued by a corporate surety, a certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) ofthe aggregate sum ofthe bid. The County does not have a standard bid bond/guaranty form. The bid bond/guaranty will not be read and be rejected as non-responsive. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred (100%) of the contract price The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in the judgement of the County, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder.
