Well Drilling Services for the construction of (4) wells. (near the town of Jackson, Aiken State Park, Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve, and Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 4/23/2019 12 NOON Award will be posted on 4/30/2019, The award, this solicitation, any amendments, and any related notices will be posted at electronically. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors to provide well drilling services at the following (4) locations; near the town of Jackson, Aiken State Park, Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve, and Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve in accordance with all requirements and specifications stated herein. The Contractor will provide well-drilling services to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Land, Water and Conservation Division (SCDNR) at the following 4 locations; C1 in Aiken County, Aiken State Park in Aiken County, Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve in Lexington County, Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve in Richland County. The contract calls for the construction of a single 2 in (inch) monitoring well at each location; totaling a number of four wells. Wells will range in depths of 32 - 80 ft. SCDNR will provide all well casing, well screen, and well enclosures. The contractor is responsible for providing all other necessary materials for constructing, grouting, developing, and finishing each well. The wells will be used by SCDNR to monitor surficial groundwater levels; consequently, no permanent pump will be installed in the well. SITE DESCRIPTIONS Site #1 - C1 near town of Jackson The well will be drilled at an existing SCDNR monitoring well cluster site near the town of Jackson in Aiken county. The property is owned and maintained by SCDNR. There is no address to the property, but the entrance is located at 33 degree 21'22.50"N 81 degree 48'36.10"W (Figures 1 and 2). The drill site itself is located at 33 degree 21'12.10"N 81 degree 48'31.80"W (Figures 3 and 4). Minimal site preparation is expected to be needed. Site #2 - Aiken State Park The well will be drilled at an existing SCDNR monitoring well cluster site owned and maintained by SCDNR. The site is located near Aiken State Park at 1096 State Park Road, Windsor, SC 29856 (Figures 4 and 5). The drill site itself is located at 33 degree 32'32.70"N 81 degree 29'07.60"W. Minimal site preparation is expected to be needed. Site #3 - Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve The well will be drilled on the southwest side of Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve, which is owned and maintained by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. The property is located off Highway 6, just south of Addie Lucas Road, Lexington, SC 29073 (Figures 6 and 7). The drill site itself is located at 33 degree 49'22.80"N 81 degree 11'56.40"W (Figure 8). Minimal site preparation is expected to be needed. Site #4 - Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve The well will be drilled at Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve, which is owned by South Carolina Electric and Gas. The property is located at 634 Old State Road, Cayce, SC 29033 (Figures 9 and 10). The drill site itself is located at 33 degree 56'34.70"N 81 degree 01'56.10"W (Figure 11). Minimal site preparation is expected to be needed.
