Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project will include the widening of South 81st Street and Cascade Avenue in the City of West Des Moines. Types of work including approximately 2,795 cubic yards of strip, salvage, and spread of topsoil, 2,414 cubic yards of Class 10 excavation, 6,558 square yards of 12" subgrade preparation, 6,558 square yards of fly ash subgrade treatment, 1,296 square yards of 7" Class C-4 reinforced PCC pavement with 8" integral curb, 2,773 square yards of 8" Class C-4 reinforced PCC pavement with 8" integral curb, 1,448 square yards of 6" reinforced PCC shared use path, storm sewer, structures for storm sewer, fixture adjustments, pavement markings, traffic control, and miscellaneous work to complete the project.
