Site work for a road / highway in Burlington, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This Contract includes the construction of creek bank erosion control measures and stabilization at multiple areas of concern (AOC) of Grindstone Creek: between Unsworth Ave and Sumac Drive. The work generally consists of the erosion control and bank protection at AOCs along Grindstone Creek, including construction of various segments of armour stone wall and bank treatments. Excavating, backfilling, rock placement, channel bypass and dewatering, installation of bioengineered structures, grading, and landscaping are an integral part of the work. The work is shown on the Contract Drawings. Contractor's mandatory experience shall include similar creek works / slope stabilization / erosion control works / in existing urban settings with a value of not less than $500,000. Construction Timing: Tree Removal: January 3 to March 31, 2023.
