Road widening (from 2 to 4 lanes - between Jane Street and Dufferin Street) and urbanization. Grade separation (underpass) of the Barrie Go Rail line at Kirby Road and jog elimination at the intersection at Kirby Road and Jane Street. In-boulevard cycle tracks & sidewalks on both sides of the road. TIMELINE: Phases 1 & 2 of the Municipal Class EA, Phase 3 (Alternative Design Concepts for the preferred solution) was presented at a Public Information Centre (PIC), and Phase 4, an Environmental Study Report is now complete (June 2022), completed by HDR. Project will not be moving to construction in the next 3-5 years. Updates will be made once the owner decides to move to design. Coverage discontinued at this time.
