The project includes the Design-Build ofan approximately 1,700 SFpost and frame, metalroofed and sided structure with concrete slab floor andfoundation to accommodate additional ofBce space and canine kennels at the Chester CountyAnimal Shelter. A conceptual layout andfloorplan for the interior ofthe structure isprovided Borrow soils will be required to level the buildingpad. The existing kennels and structures will be removed by County forcesprior to construction. The proposed building willrequire water, sanitary sewer and electrical utilities connections with service already existing at the site. All construction and design is subject to the review and inspection of Chester County Government officials and their representatives. The design and construction ofthe building and foundation shall adhere to the International Building Code 2015, as adopted and amended by the State of SC. Engineered drawings, calculations andshop drawings shall be prepared by a South Carolina licensed professional engineer and submitted to the County's representative for approval prior to commencement of the work. In addition to the base bid ofthe costs associated with the design and construction of the structure and foundation, costs associated with additional interior features are being requested as optional alternatives.
