Renovation of a transportation facility in Gainesville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,000-square-foot transportation facility.

The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the Commercial Terminal Expansion and Improvements, Phase II project. The work shall include expansion and renovation of the existing commercial Terminal Building. The project includes an approximately 15,000 SF expansion of the post security aircraft gate area with two (2) new passenger gates, public restrooms, and airline/airport support areas. Other work includes expansion of the secured area public restrooms (approximately 1,100 SF), replacement of the existing terminal roof, airline informational displays, CCTV cameras, public address system, access control system, HVAC and emergency power upgrades, public restroom improvements, replacement of existing light fixtures, extension of the fire alarm system and related components into new building areas, replacement of flooring in the existing terminal areas, replacement/refurbishment of select finishes in the existing terminal areas, and other directly related work. The official clock is located in the Authority's Administrative Office. Bids received after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13 will not be considered. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in response to this Request for Bids as determined to be in the best interest of the Airport.
