Demolition, site work and renovation of an educational facility in Auburn Univ, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
SCOPE OF WORK: The general scope of the work includes but is not limited to: Demolition of existing finishes, doors, light fixtures, miscellaneous wood trim, selective drywall partitions, atrium stair handrail syst- em and mechanical systems. New floor carpet, new tile, new rubber base, new paint, new vinyl wall covering, new ceiling tiles, new light fixtures, new doors, new hardware, new restroom finishes, fixtures and accessories, new glass and stainless steel atrium handrail system as well as additional power/data outlets. BONDS: A certified check or bid bond payable to Auburn University in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract. BIDS: Bids must be submitted on proposal forms or copies thereof furnished in the bid documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids if such action is determined to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to revoke the pre-qualification of any bidder in accordance with Section 39-2-4, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended in 1997 (by Act 97-225).
