Demolition, site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Traverse City, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a elderly care / assisted living facility; for the construction of a 12,000-square-foot elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The recommendation is to award the General Contractor to Hallmark Construction for $6,853,590 and Sitework Contractor to Elmer's for $1,895,685. The City of Traverse City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and to accept the bids either on an entire or individual basis that is in the best interests of the City of Traverse City. This is not a federal aid project. A certified check, bank draft or bid bond without condition to the City of Traverse City in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount shall be submitted as a guarantee of good faith subject to the conditions stipulated in the “Instructions to Bidders Construction of an approximately 18,089 square foot building at the existing location at 801 E Front Street and other construction related items as shown on the plans and specifications.
