Renovation of a transportation facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Project base bid will consist of: The removal of existing exterior wall panels and sheathing down to existing wall structure along with insulation and attaching new exterior rainscreen system wall panels in its place. All existing metal fascia panels to be removed and replace to match existing. All existing metal soffit panels to be removed and replaced with new to match existing. Install new stainless-steel gutters fully welded at all seams and reattached to existing downspouts. All existing metal roofing and accessories to be removed and replaced with new to match existing. Any damaged roof decking will need to be replaced at this time. All exterior concrete panel walls, cmu walls, doors, door frames, window frames, bollards, concrete curbing, handrails to be painted to match existing colors. All the existing apron poles and lighting to be removed and replaced with new poles and LED lighting. Pre- qualification of bidders is not required. There is an add alternate #1 in construction documents that consists of: Operations level ceiling grid and tile, lights and surface mounted lights to be removed and install new ceiling grid and tiles and new LED lighting in new grid and at surface mounted locations. There is an add alternate #2 in construction documents that consists of: New lighting controls. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the schedule of prices, which shall be made payable to Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. This project is anticipated to be financed through a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will be subject to all requirements of the FAA as of the time the contract is awarded, including the federally required contract clauses to be made part of the contract documents for the Project. Contractors and subcontractors working on this Project will be required to use E-Verify to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their employees. Award is contingent upon the availability of Federal funds. This Project is also subject to compliance with the Alabama Immigration Act. The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, which pertain to this project, and to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening.
