Site work for a water / sewer project in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Ruidoso Sewer Line Project Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase purpose is to mitigate future hazard from major storm events by protecting the sanitary sewer line from river erosion, degradation and meander. There will be 39 sites, along 12 miles of the Rio Ruidoso. Project Work will include excavation of river and adjacent areas, downstream of sewer line river crossings and along the banks of the Rio Ruidoso. Scope of Work for the existing sewer line includes installing new flood and structural encasement to protect the sewer line; lowering and encasing the sewer line; installing grouted boulder grade control structures, grouted boulder bank protection, scour walls, and dumped river rock boulder channels to protect the sewer line; and protecting the river bank and manholes with stabilization and armoring. New sewer line sections, manholes, and encasement will also be installed. Additionally, the project will also include stream bank restoration, reseeding and planting of disturbed areas after construction. E
