Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount listed below: Mechanical Construction Contract Wicks Exempt (D005565) $ 100,000.00 (One hundred thousand and 00/100 dollars) A. Mechanical Construction Contract (Mech) D005565 (Wicks Exempt): A general description of the primary work elements for the Mechanical Construction Contract is listed below for reference. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all the drawings and specifications to obtain a complete understanding of all work scope. The Work includes all work indicated in the Contract Documents 1. A general description of the primary work elements is listed below for reference. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all the drawings and specifications to obtain a complete understanding of the entire work scope. This contract includes all work indicated on the project documents, including but not limited to: a. Mechanical Prime (scope of work) 1) General Conditions 2) Temporary Heat and temporary roof protection/waterproofing (during demolition) 3) Mechanical scope will consist of the removal of three (3) existing rooftop mounted heating and ventilation units, and the installation of three (3) new rooftop mounted heating and ventilation units in similar locations. 4) Mechanical scope will include a reconnection of new units to existing ductwork, with sections of new ductwork and minor modifications to existing ductwork. 5) Mechanical scope will include the removal and abandonment of existing exhaust fan equipment. 6) Mechanical scope will include the installation of new controls devices for new rooftop equipment. b. General Construction (scope of work Wicks exempt subcontractor to be declared by the Mech prime) 1) General Construction scope will consist of the removal of existing roofing sections and mechanical equipment curb supports associated with the mechanical scope. 2) General Construction scope will consist of the installation of new structural steel members for the support of the new mechanical equipment. 3) General Construction scope will include the patch and repair of roof in areas of work. c. Electrical (scope of work Wicks exempt subcontractor to be declared by the Mech prime) 1) Electrical scope will consist of the removal and replacement of power feeders for the new mechanical rooftop equipment, and the removal of power feeders for any equipment to be removed. 2) Electrical scope will include the removal, re-installation and modification of existing lightning protection devices for new mechanical equipment. 3) Electrical scope will include the installation of new fire alarm devices and tie in of new mechanical equipment to the existing fire alarm system for fan shutdown. d. Plumbing (scope of work Wicks exempt subcontractor to be declared by the Mech prime) 1) Plumbing scope will consist of the disconnection of natural gas piping from the existing mechanical units, and reconnection of natural gas piping to the new mechanical units. 2) Plumbing scope will include modifications and extensions of the existing natural gas pipe to make the new connections. This job will be bid as a lump sum Wicks Exempt project. Minority and Women Owned Business Participation Goals The following goals for MWBE participation on Contract (Mech D005565) have been established at: Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) 19% Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) 11% Service Disable Veteran Owned Business Goals The following goals for SDVOB participation for this Mechanical Construction Contract D005565 have been established at: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) 4% PROJECT COMPLETION The completion date for this project is 265 days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller's Office. Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to General Conditions Article 14). Mechanical Construction Project (D005565) = $1,750.00 per day Starting on the advertisement date Make checks payable to the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract. All RFI's are due by: 1:00 pm on June 7, 2019
