The work of this single bid project includes an exterior stone façade restoration and complete interior gut renovation of a 1921 masonry and steel building, meeting LEED GOLD certification at the University at Buffalo, South Campus. The project will include all new mechanical, sprinkler, plumbing, electrical and fire alarm systems, and all new interior floor, partition and ceiling systems, three new stairways and one new elevator. The work will include new replacement slate roof and complete exterior door and window replacement. Site work includes new drainage systems, plantings and a hardscape plaza, along with additional work associated with site restoration. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) has been adopted for this project. This agreement openly promotes bidding from all contractors - union and non-union. The low bidder must execute and abide by the terms of the site-specific Project Labor Agreement. This Project Labor Agreement also impacts acceptable staffing patterns for the project. The PLA should be read in its entirety by all potential bidders prior to submitting a Proposal.
