Supporting spaces include restrooms, showers, storage, IT, and break room spaces. The entire facility will be sprinklered. Site work includes relocation of existing parking spaces and sidewalks, new utilities and landscaping
This project consists of the construction of a new 39,389 sqft. baseball training facility. Addendum #1-#3 have been issued, as of November 15, 2021. General: 1) New construction includes steel structural system, exterior wall assembly, an air barrier system, TPO and SSMR roofing systems, doors, frames, hardware, storefront, glazing, overhead doors, and pre-engineered metal building systems. The work also includes interior and exterior finishes, signage, toilet compartments and accessories, casework, metal shelving, roller shades, and a folding panel partition. Athletic equipment includes safety padding. Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Fire Alarm: 1) The work includes fire suppression, plumbing and fixtures, HVAC and controls, electrical and fixtures, and telephone/data raceway. Site/Civil: 1) The work includes removal of site amenities, site clearing, earth moving, new paving, fences and gates, site walls, grasses, plants, and water, sanitary and storm utilities. Bid Bonds will be required for this project. All references to bid bonds within this document do apply to this project. The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsiveand responsible bidder who has demonstrated that it is in the best interest of the Owner to enter into a contract with the bidder. The determination of what is most beneficial and in the Owner's best interest is to be determined solely by the Owner.The Town of Cary reserves the right to waive technicalities and/or reject any or all proposals. Bidders will be required to honor their bid proposals for a period of 60 days from the date of the Bid Opening until the execution of the Contract. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted in writing to Beth King, AIA, with Davis Kane Architects, PA at 503 Oberlin Road, Suite 300, Raleigh, NC 27605, phone number 919-833-3737 and email bking@daviskane.com. Responses will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered electronically to all parties recorded by the Architect as having received the Bid Documents. The Final Addenda, if required, will be issued 11-11-2021. Questions received after 11-8-2021 may not be answered. Only questions answered by written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda, when issued, will be on file at the offices of the Owner at least twenty-four hours before bids are opened. It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to make inquiry to the Addenda issued. All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders.
