Scope of Work of the Contract includes the necessary labor, materials, equipment and supervision to construct a 2.0 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant, including, but not limited to, mobilization, bonds and insurance, and all civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical and instrumentation components as specified in the Contract Documents, for a complete and operational system. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total amount of the bid or a cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within 10 calendar days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. ATTENTION: Pursuant to Texas Government Code 2252.908, you must provide Fort Bend County Water Control & Improvement District No. 2 (the "District") with a printed, executed and notarized original of a completed Certificate of Interested Parties form (Form 1295) must be provided to the District at the time of the bid opening. Failure to do so will result in the District's inability to award the contract. Bidders should submit or post questions no later than Tuesday, September 10, 2019. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The cutoff time for questions to the Engineer was changed to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
