Sealed bids for construction of the Eric Marcus Municipal Airport Fence Project shall be delivered at or before the date and time indicated below to the Pima County Procurement Department offices located in the County Administration Building, 130 West Congress Street, 3rd Floor, Tucson, Arizona 85701. Bids must be accompanied by a surety bond of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The work consists of constructing approximately 17,800 linear feet of fence with four (4) gates, one (1) cattle guard, and swale fencing around the perimeter of Eric Marcus Municipal Airport, located four (4) miles North of Ajo, Arizona. Estimated cost for the project is between $550,000.00 and $615,000.00. The project shall be complete and in place within 50 working days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for late delivery will be assessed per Pima County Standard Specification Section 108-9. All bidders will be subject to Pima Countys Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program Plan requirements and reporting. Please review these requirements carefully. For this project, a minimum goal of 9.92% for participation by DBE's as a percentage of the total amount of the project's bid schedule. The contractor must have the appropriate license issued by the State of Arizona Registrar of Contractors before award of the contract and maintain same through the duration of the project. Failure to obtain this license by the end of the sixtieth (60th) calendar day after bid opening may result in rejection of the bid without further recourse and award of the contract to the next low responsive, responsible bidder. Pima County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to withhold the award for any reason. Deposits must be in the form of a check drawn payable to Pima County. Deposit shall be refunded upon return of the plans and specifications in good order within ten (10) days after the bid due date. The cost for additional sets is non-refundable.
