The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, fuel, traffic control and incidentals as necessary to lay tack, asphalt base mix (BM-25.0A) and asphalt material (SM-12.5D) on two newly constructed Rural Rustic roadways specified below. VDOT will provide the plant mix to be used, which shall be picked up and hauled to the project sites. Placement of asphalt shall be in accordance with the most current VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications relating to the sections concerning placement of bituminous concrete (310.01 - .03, 315.01-07). The contractor shall not leave any uneven grades or drop off upon the conclusion of each work day period. Service Area: Cities: Bristol and Norton. Counties: Bland, Buchanan, Dickenson, Grayson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise, and Wythe. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform paving services on two newly constructed roadways in Wythe and Grayson Counties in VA, in accordance with the specifications herein. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award through one year. This solicitation is designated as a set-aside in accordance with the Small Business Enhancement Award Priority as a Small Business Set-Aside Award Priority: Reference General Term and Condition, Paragraph Z and Special Term and Condition, Paragraph 2.
