The work is generally described as follows: This project will address the unresolved discrepancies identified during recent FAA Part 139 inspections. These items include the following: 1. Cleaning airfield markings along Taxiway B and RWY 18L/36R. 2. Removing airfield markings from Taxiway C and Taxiway D. 3. Installing black outlines to the surface painted signs and the enhanced centerline on Taxiway E. 4. Painting / Re-Painting closure X's on closed taxiways. 5. Re-Painting surface painted signs on Taxiway B at its intersection with RWY 18R/36L. 6. Relocating Airfield Signs on Taxiway B at its intersection with RWY 18R/36L. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of Ninety (90) days. Each bid must be submitted in duplicate with bid security in accordance with the instructions to bidders which are found in the Project Manual. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Each electronically submitted bid must be submitted in "pdf" format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Note electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void. This project will be funded under provision of the Airport and Airway Safety and Capacity Act of 1987. Certain mandatory federal requirements apply to this solicitation and will be made a part of any contract awarded, including but not limited to: (a) Davis Bacon Act (DOL Regulation 29 CFR Part 5) (b) Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive order 11246 and DOL Regulation 41 CFR Part 60) (c) Copeland Act, 29 CFR Part 3. (d) Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. (e) Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964. (f) Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participation 49 CFR Part 26. All bidders must be properly licensed contractors at the time of submitting bids in accordance with the provisions of the State of Mississippi and must indicate their current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their Bid, and on their Bid. The City of greenville reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owners best interests.
