Site work for a water / sewer project in Morganville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of Aug 2,2019 project has not been awarded yet. The project generally consists of rehabilitation of a 1,500,000 gallon water storage tank including the interior and exterior surface preparation and painting, relocation of electrical wiring of equipment, site improvements, and all other associated work as contained in the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer. The project requires all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to complete the project. The proposed time for completion of this Contract is 240 calendar days. Contract Documents and Plans for the proposed work prepared by Michael J. McClelland, P.E., Consulting Engineer, CME Associates may be examined at the office of said Engineer at 3141 Bordentown Avenue, Parlin, New Jersey and at the Town Hall, 1979 Township Drive Marlboro, New Jersey 07746 during business hours (9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.). It is the responsibility of prospective bidders who obtain specifications online to check the website for any addenda issued prior to the bid opening. Failure to do so could result in the rejection of your submission. No refunds will be made except as provided in N.J.A.C. 40A:11-24b which allows for the return of documents in reasonable conditions within 90 days of notice that the contract has NOT been awarded. Proposals in the Contract Documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the work on the outside addressed to the Township of Marlboro, and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township. Each proposal must be submitted in writing on the proposal pages furnished in the Contract Documents; this entire document must be submitted at the time of bid. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form(s) in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and clearly labeled "BID for the Beacon Hill Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project" on the outside of the envelope. Please include one original and one digital copy of the bid. All envelopes shall be addressed to Mr. Jonathan Capp, Business Administrator of the Township of Marlboro. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 10% (ten percent) of the amount of the bid and must be accompanied by a Certificate of surety and a copy of a valid Business Registration Certificate. Each Bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of Consent of Surety from a Bonding Company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds", as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the U.S. Treasury Department, guaranteeing that if the proposal of the Bidder be accepted they will furnish the bond set forth in Paragraph One of the General Conditions of the Contract and the acceptance of the Bid will be contingent upon the fulfilment of this requirement. The Township Council of the Township of Marlboro reserves the right to waive any informality in bidding and the right to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Township to do so, and reserves the right to hold the bids and proposal guarantees of the 3 (three) lowest regular bidders for 60 (sixty) days before making an award of contract and each bidder agrees that he will not withdraw the bid for that period of time. Bidder is required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including P.L. 1975, C.127 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration) and P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages), if applicable. Bidder is required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidder is advised of the responsibility to comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44a-20.13. Bidder is required to submit with its bid a valid Business Registration Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey. (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44) All bids shall be in conformity with N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17f with a goal of not less than 10% participation of small business enterprises and controlled by socially and economically disadvantage individuals (SED's). Further details regarding required SED participation is included in the Instructions to Bidders and Appendix D. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. The contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. The Successful Bidder must comply with all provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SED's).
