The failure or omission by any Bidder to do so shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its bid. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding $50,000.00 must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended. All Bidders must be properly licensed contractors at the time of submitting bids in accordance with t he provisions of the State of Alabama and must indicate their current Alabama General Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their Bid, and on their Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to submit a Certification of Nonsegregated Facilities prior to award of the Contract, and to notify prospective Subcontractors of the requirement for such Certification where the Subcontract exceeds $10,000. A cashier check, a certified check or a surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid sh all accompany the proposal of each bidder.
