Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Thornton, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Phased Expansive Soil Mitigation, Sally Port Reconstruction, Site Work Trades Required: Surveying, Quality Control, Demolition, Ready Mix, Masonry, Steel, Waterproofing, Joint Sealant, Pavement Markings, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, Geosynthetics, Earthwork, Utilities, Caisson Drillers, Retaining Wall, Asphalt Paving, Fencing, Landscaping Anticipated Construction Schedule: Phase A - 8/31/19 to 11/24/19 Phase B&C - 4/20/20 to 10/31/20 The owner has determined a prequalified list of contractors. The Project is to mitigate issues related to expansive foundation materials along the west side of the Thornton Police Department wing of the existing Thornton Justice Center. The Work generally includes removal and replacement of asphalt pavement and concrete flatwork, excavation of existing subgrade and installation of a geomembrane liner and drainage systems, replacement of a mechanically stabilized earth wall, and full replacement of the existing Sally Port floor from slab on grade to a structural floor. The construction budget for this Project will be approximately two million dollars ($2,000,000). As of August 21, 2019, addendum 2 has been issued.
