Renovation of a municipal facility in House Springs, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The proposed work includes the renovationof a multi-story building.Architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural,IT/telecommunicationand civil/sitemodifications will be made to the building and site. First and second story additions, renovations of existing floor spacesand the installation of an elevator are a few of the major modifications.The contractor will be responsible for providing necessary material and labor to complete the project in a timely manner in accordance with the Project Manual, Plan Drawings and other Contract Documents. The contractor will be responsible for arranging delivery of materials to the job site. The bid shall alsoinclude disposal of all waste and demolition material. Work shall be in accordance with the Project Manual, PlanDrawingsandContract Documents. Where not specifically covered by these documents, the Contractor shall adhere to the Latest Edition of the, Jefferson County Building Codeor Townof Scotsdale, Missouri Building Code requirements, whichever governs. Project Estimates : Base Bid Project $4,261,255. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this localityas established by the State of Missouri's "Annual Wage Order" that is currently effective 10 calendar days prior to bid opening. The JeffersonCounty, Missourihereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept the bid that in its judgment will be for the best interest of Jefferson County, Missouri. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to Jefferson County, Missouri, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the required bonds within the time period stated in the Project Manual. If the bid is accepted, the bidder agrees that work shall be diligently prosecuted at such rate and in such manner as, in the judgment of the engineer, is necessary for the completion of the work within the time specified as follows: Calendar days 300. The County of Jefferson, Missouri hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the groundsof race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Site excavation of adjacent hillside. Remodel and Expansion of Existing Building to increase size from 10,033 sf to approximately 21,000sf. Remodel and Expansion is to provide a Code Compliant facility for Animal Care. Exterior Landscaping and Extension of Existing Fire Lane
