Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Troy, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a museum; and clubhouse / community center.
Construction of a new building to replace the current museum. The new development will be located along the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail, just outside the Village of Port Hood, on the main highway. It would potentially house a heritage centre/museum exhibit space, museum exhibit space, a small café, an Inverness County Archives and Genealogical Research Centre, a large area for presentations and ceilidhs, a mini branch of the Eastern Counties Regional Library, a room highlighting the culture of the Gaels who settled in the county. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual and timelines are unknown. Funding will be sought through a fundraising campaign, pending owner's decision to proceed.
