Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Des Moines, Iowa. Design plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

UPDATE : This project provides for the rehabilitation of the SW 9th Street Bridge over Middle Creek. The 2017 Bridge Evaluation identified the bridge to be structurally deficient. Work included on this project is anticipated to be a complete replacement of the bridge. A Consultant is being utilized for design and construction phase services. Project is included City of Des Moines FY 2022-2026 Budget CIP Page 28 __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________- As of March 1, 2021, this project is currently in the City of Des Moines FY 2021-2026 CIP. An engineer has been selected for the project. Information regarding design firm selection has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *The original solicitation is listed below for reference. --- SW 9th Street Bridge over Middle Creek, FHWA No. 335221. Provide hydraulic analysis and evaluate bridge replacement alternatives. Prepare permitting, provide plans and specifications, and construction administration services for the complete replacement of the existing bridge. City funding will be used for construction with a preliminary construction budget of $1,000,000 and a target a City letting in September 2020.
