Information for Bidders. Section B; Preparation of Bids. Bids will be publicly opened in the Bid Room (First Floor) and read immediately following the bid opening date and time, as amended. ADVERTISED SOLICITATION Although this solicitation has been publicly, advertised only Contractors that are prequalified with the SCA are eligible to submit bids for this project. Please make sure that you arc nrequalified to perform work greater than One Million ($1.000.000) Dollars and have the applicable experience for this scope of work as of the bid opening date and time. BID BREAKDOWN: Upon request, the apparent low bidder for this project will be required to submit to the SCA its bid breakdown using a Project Specific Template, within seventy-two (72) hours ofthe bid opening or when requested. PHASING EXHIBIT Attached, as Appendix B to the Construction Contract is the Phasing Exhibit for this Project. LUMP SUM BID Bidders shall submit a LUMP SUM BID AMOUNT in the form attached as Appendix A to the Construction Contract to complete the project within the "Performance Period" after normal school hours under the conditions specified in the Contract Documents (as defined in the SCA's General Conditions dated October 17, 2016) inclusive ofthe Phasing Exhibit. BID BOND A Bid Bond prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check ofthe Bidder for five (5%) percent ofthe Bid Amount must accompany the Lump Sum Bid Form. (Appendix A). WICKS TRADE WORK A "Wicks" subcontractor is defined as a subcontractor performing construction work in the HVAC, Plumbing & Gas Fitting or Electrical Trades and (except for HVAC) licensed to do business in the CITY OF NEW YORK in that trade. PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT (PLA) As a condition of award under this Solicitation, the SCA will require the lowest responsive, and responsible bidder and its subcontractors of any tier performing Work on this project to become signatory to, and be bound by, the provisions ofthe PLA.
