Site work for a water / sewer project in Morris, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project will be known as City of Morris - Well 5 Repairs 2019 and consist of pulling the existing Byron Jackson submersible pump (389' depth), perform a complete inspection, repair and replace deteriorated components, and reinstall the rehabilitated pump (along with a Byron Jackson motor that the City has on reserve in it possession), and test the pump. Proposals shall be accompanied by a history of the Contractor's business, along with a list of previous similar well work over the past 10 years, and a list of references of former Municipal clients. A bid deposit in the form of a bid bond of not less than 10% of the amount of the bid will be required. The successful contractor will be required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond in the full amount of the awarded contract. Bidders are advised that this contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and must comply with the City of Morris Prevailing Wage Ordinance, and bidders must provide documentation of compliance with the City of Morris Responsible Bidder Resolution with their bid documents. The City of Morris reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding.
