Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Arlington, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a retail development; for the demolition of a transportation facility; bridge / tunnel; transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

The Crystal City Station Improvements Project will relocate and replace the existing side platform, with a new island platform between two (2) relocated tracks. Access to the station will be provided via a pedestrian underpass beneath the westernmost track at the north end of the platform, and via a pedestrian bridge over the westernmost track at the south end of the platform. The north entrance will extend from the end of the platform northward, transitioning from a ramp to a tunnel which will pass over the existing Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrorail tunnel, and beneath the proposed westernmost railroad track. This entrance extends beyond the railroad right of way to Crystal Drive on property adjacent to the Mount Vernon Trail Connector, providing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant passenger access from Crystal Drive to the VRE platform. The south entrance will extend beyond the railroad right of way, spanning over and across the service road to the single-story building between 2011 Crystal Drive and 2121 Crystal Drive. The project will provide improvements to the existing single-story building to support the additional load and will construct a stair and elevator at the front of the single-story building. The project also includes construction of a realigned westernmost track, along the west side of the new island platform, and demolition of the existing station. The Scope of Work (SOW) shall include comprehensive construction management services for construction of a new island platform passenger station, track roadbed, a pedestrian underpass, a pedestrian bridge, structural modifications to an existing commercial building, and two (2) sets of stairs and elevators. The term of the Contract shall be thirty-seven (37) consecutive calendar months from the date set forth in the written Notice-To-Proceed (NTP).
