Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call civil work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of 826/2019 award amount $ 1,462,738.60 Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Greensboro, NC in the Engineering Conference Room located on the 3rd floor of the City of Greensboro Melvin Municipal Office Building until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, for the above listed contract as shown in the plans and described in the Special Conditions. The Melvin Municipal Office building is located at 300 West Washington Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. This work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to complete all bridge repairs as directed in the plans. Work includes: existing joint demolition and reconstruction; construction of concrete headers; installation of pourable silicone joint sealant; silane deck treatment; substructure repairs using concrete or shotcrete and epoxy resin injection; structural steel and steel beam end repairs; bridge jacking; preparation of the surface of the existing steel beams and bearings and applying new paint; disposal of waste material; seeding and mulching all grassed areas disturbed; and all incidental items necessary to complete the project as specified and shown on the plans. All materials and workmanship shall be in accordance with all reference plans and specifications herein
