Thanks, *The original solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The Town of Cary is seeking the services of a professional engineering firm to provide design and construction period services for the West Cary Force Main Improvements Project along Green Level Church Road. The proposed improvements are aimed at improving reliability, capacity and operational flexibility of this force main system, which transports a major portion of the wastewater flow in Cary Western Service Area to the Western Wake Regional Water Reclamation Facility (WWRWRF). The goals of this project include: A. Replacement or renewal of approximately 3,000 feet of existing 24-inch ductile iron force main. B. Installation of parallel or redundant force main pipe beginning approximately 700 feet south of Cary Glen Boulevard to the discharge location approximately one mile south along Green Level Church Road near Millercrest Lane. Figure 1 details the configuration of the existing force main system. C. Perform pipeline cleaning of the existing 24-inch force main D. Improve odor control operations downstream of the existing force main discharge on the Green Level Interceptor gravity sewer. Additional funding will be requested in future Capital Improvement Budgets. The Town has currently programmed an additional $2 million in funding for Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022) and another $2 million in funding for FY 2022. An additional $600,000 is available for odor control improvements. The selected consultant shall be prepared to design and bid the project in two phases, to enable construction of the parallel force main and upgrades to the existing force main to commence on Town-owned property while additional property is being procured for the remainder of the parallel force main.
