All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is no less than five percent (5%) of the value of the total bid. Insurance coverage and a 50% payment bond are required at the time of award. Bids are subject to the provisions of the M.G.L. c. 30 39 M as amended to date. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law (M.G.L. c 149 26 - 27H) as amended to date. A prevailing wage schedule for this project will be provided to all bid holders. The Town of Middleborough reserves the rights to reject any or all bids, or to accept bids either in whole or in part, to award contracts by individual items or by lump sum total, or to waive any minor informalities or defects in any bid should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of Middleborough. Any bid submitted shall be binding for thirty days (30) beyond the date of bid opening. -Mobilize equipment and install erosion controls as needed -Remove existing asphalt (approximately 107" x 99") -Import processed gravel to allow for finished court grade to drain (raise 3"-4") -Re-grade, compact, and install 3" asphalt in two coats -New court to be 84' long by 50' wide. A paved boarder comprised of 2' of pavement on both sides of the court and 6' of pavement on both ends of the court shall be added for a total paved surface of 96' in length and 54' in width. -Supply and install 4 new posts and metal backboards -Supply and install 2 steel backboards -Supply and install 4 removable hoops -Stripe two one new court and restore perimeter w/loam and seed
