Project Location: 1. Harold Road near the Town Highway Department located on 1445 Swann Road, Lewiston, New York 14092 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. Police and Parks Storage Building Project 1. General: It is the intent and purpose of these Specifications and accompanying Contract Drawings to describe the Work associated with and included under the Police and Parks Storage Building Project. 2. The CONTRACTOR shall return to original condition, satisfactory to OWNER and ENGINEER, any damaged facilities caused by the CONTRACTOR's operations at the CONTRACTOR's expense. 3. It is to be understood that the CONTRACTOR is responsible to provide all traffic control, flagmen, and trucking necessary for the completion of the work under this Contract as described in the Contract Drawings. 4. It is the CONTRACTOR's responsibility to develop a work plan and schedule detailing, at a minimum, the procedures to be employed, the equipment and materials to be used, the safety plan to be used during the work, and a schedule defining the duration of the work with milestone subtasks. 5. The CONTRACTOR shall supply all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required to complete the work outlined in this section unless specified otherwise. The Work under the project includes, but is not limited to, the following: CONTRACT NO. 2019-1G - GENERAL (BASE BID ITEMS) a. Item 1 - Police and Parks Storage Building Under this Item, the CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to perform mobilization and demobilization. Work under this Item shall include set up of the necessary general plant, including shops, storage areas, sanitary and other facilities as are required by local or state law or regulation. The cost of required insurance, bonds, permits, work schedule and subsequent updates and any other initiation of the Contract work is also included in this Item. Also, under this Item, the CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required for the new Police and parks Storage Building and associated appurtenances as shown on the Contract Drawings and described in these Specifications. This work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Complete all site clearing and grubbing including tree and stump removal to the extents indicated on the Contract Drawings. 2. Regrade site to finished grade indicated on Contract Drawings. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for soil balance, density testing and compaction, and installation of any import fill/select fill as required to achieve finished grade. The removal, transport, import of fill materials, and disposal of excavated soils and rocks and cleared trees and shrubbery are by OWNER. Supply and install grass seeding to disturbed soil areas. 3. CONTRACTOR shall dispose of and/or pile materials at an on-site location or load onto OWNER-provided trucking for disposal as directed by OWNER/ENGINEER. OWNER shall provide all fill materials for the project. CONTRACTOR shall notify OWNER/ENGINEER immediately should CONTRACTOR compaction testing results not meet contract specifications. 4. Provide and install temporary silt fence and other stormwater pollution prevention measures as required to maintain existing drainage and protect stormwater facilities and waterways from sediment-laden runoff. 5. Provide stabilized construction entrance. CONTRACTOR shall install aggregate at temporary site access drive. Temporary drive shall be built up, as required to maintain local roads free of dirt and mud tracked off site. 6. Supply and install concrete floor slabs, vapor barrier, floor slab rigid insulation, pads, and foundations. 7. Supply and install pre-engineered factory and field fabricated building, including all equipment, fixtures, and appurtenances as specified in Section 13121. 8. Supply and install splash pads at the outlet of each roof gutter downspout. 9. Supply and install four multi-purpose ABC fire extinguishers with wall-mounting hardware. Locations directed by Owner. 10. Supply and install truss identification stickers. 11. Supply and install new bollards and guide rail systems as shown on the Contract Drawings. 12. Provide and install temporary generator and wiring to test garage door and fan operation.
